The following advice has been distilled by James Edwards from working with opera singers in a large space using a camera as a monitoring device. This information has worked for all singers regardless of voice type and repertoire. There is video evidence of all these findings.
Following James' success as a mentor, James will be taking performance awareness classes at the Jette Parker Young Artist Programme at the Royal Opera House in September. The purpose of the sessions is to raise awareness of the physical aspects of a a singers' performance and make positive changes.
James has been invited by South West Music School, in partnership with WNO to mentor 5 choir leaders in the Bristol Area.
As part of the Bristol Singing Strategy South West Music School will be offering a 12 month mentoring programme for 5 vocal leaders from across the city. The program will be lead by International Tenor, James Edwards.
James has been invited to join the Post Adoption Centre's Young People's Advisory Group
The Purpose of the Group is To deepen PAC’s understanding of what adopted young people feel about the support they need and how we could improve our practice to reflect this and allow the young people attending these sessions to grow in confidence and develop new skills.
The first session will take part at PAC's site in early September.
